I love word studies. They are versatile, personal, and flexible! You can sit down and study each word on your list or you can keep your list handy and as the topics come up you can study them then. There’s no “right” or “wrong” way to do a word study!
The “Thanksgiving: A Bible Tab Devotional” is a word study (or topics study if you prefer) that studies words that are common with Thanksgiving. I’ll show you some ways I’ve been using this study, but remember this is a personal devotional– however you want to use it is the “right” way to use it! Get creative! But most important, get in the Word!
I’m using my Happy Planner bible study printable for bible verses and I’m also using my Thanksgiving Bible Tab Devotional bible tabs as I read through my Torah portions. I have the tabs next to me because as I read I can add a tab that correlates to today’s reading and mark the page accordingly.
Here I wrote down the verse from today’s “verse of the day” on my YouVersion bible app. It was a verse that meant a lot to me this morning and where I am in my walk, so I used the “meaningful” tab to mark the verse in my bible. On the bottom part of the tab I write the verse for a quick reference guide.
Here I used “proclaim” for a verse in Deuteronomy for something I’m going through. This verse hit me hard this morning and I wanted to remember it.
I’m also using the Happy Planner/3 ring binder Torah Portions printables for this week’s study. It’s a great pair with the tabs! I can write down thoughts, notes, commentary, and other meaningful things I glean from scripture as well as add a few tabs. Here I used “gratitude” for a verse in Psalm 106.
See how versatile it is? It doesn’t have to be done in a day, week, or month! Hold on to the tabs for when you come across the word or topic in your studies and add it then! Use it for study, journaling, crafting, or note taking! I hope these are a blessing to you. Enjoy!
