My Relationship to G-d Through Prayer
Scripture is effective! It’s life changing! And getting creative with your bible study is extremely beneficial!
I loooooove bible journaling! It immerses me in what I’m studying by forcing me to concentrate for long periods of time. And because I learn better when my hands are moving, it’s the perfect way for me to study! There’s so many different ways to journal in or around your bible! Some people buy “journaling bibles”, other’s doodle, other’s use stickers, paint, and stamps. Some do it smashbook style. I fall somewhere in the middle. I like functional bible journaling. Meaning whatever bible I’m journaling in is the bible I’m using for my daily reading, study, and devotions. And it has to be something that functions during transport because I take my bible everywhere with me!
Last week I posted a devotional I was doing complete with scripture references and bible tabs. Well, I was working on it over the weekend and created scripture jars!

I made two sets: a Tree of Life Version and King James Version. I mostly use my TLV, but I have an affection for the KJV. It’s my second favorite version of the bible and I usually always have it open when I study with my TLV or any other version I’m using. I consider it “authoritative”, but that’s my opinion. There’s lots of great translations out there! I realized when I printed the TLV jars first that some people might not be of the messianic persuasion since the TLV has a decidedly Jewish voice. So, I printed the KJV jars. Same verses, different version.
You don’t have to stick the jars in your bibles! I stuck one in my planner!
You can put them wherever you need a reminder from scripture!
