Modest fashion, head covering, and faith.

Have you ever moved somewhere new? A different city? A new state? An entirely different country?! Maybe to a place where you’re unfamiliar with the customs or the language? I have! I moved to South Texas with my husband almost 10 years ago and it was a total culture shock! Not only living near his family and having them so integrated in our lives, but the city we live in and the people we interact with! It was an opportunity for growth, education, and new friendships. It’s been quite the adventure!

Well, friend, the same thing happened to me again 5 years ago when we made the decision for me to stay home full time when I was pregnant with baby #3. Being a stay at home mom (SAHM) and a homemaker was one of the toughest transitions I have ever had to make. But, like moving to a new region in our state, I had to acculturate. I had to adapt to my new way of life and adopt new ways of doing things. New customs. New language– new everything. I had to incorporate so many things into my life that it was overwhelming. Especially for me– I thought I was going to be a woman with a career, not a homeschooling mama with four kids!

Join me as I share my life and my journey in some of the realest ways I know how.

(You can see older posts over on my first blog.)

Enjoy! I can’t wait to get to know you!
